Least painful place to get a tattoo?

I want to get a tattoo right above my...well groin (to put it nicely). It means quite a bit to me. It's a dragon fertility symbol. I have about 2 inches of skin/bone and right after that up to my chest bone is a bit of pudge. I want to get it there. But i'm worried if I loose weight that the tattoo will get ruined. Also...any suggestions for a first tattoo?

the worst place to get a tattoo is on bone. which is where i got mine and it hurt pretty bad.


as for the weight question, i don't know. someone told me my tattoo would be ruined if i went tanning, and it hasnt.


take some advil a half an hour before you get it as well as eat since it's your first time.
Reply:I honestly dont know what it would feel like getting a tat there, but if you lost weight then yes, I think it would change it a bit.





I got one on my calf and didnt feel any pain whatsoever.
Reply:Any tattoo over boney area on your body will be painful. I recently got a tattoo from my hip to the top of my armpit. It hurt like hell over my hip bone as well as my ribs. The body can take quite a bit of pain though. I usually bring in some headphones and some of my favorite music to zone out to. It helps if you have a large bottle of water to sip on during the session. Also make sure to eat something before hand. Getting a tattoo can wear you out. Outside of that....have fun.
Reply:I have a tattoo of a broken heart with angel wings that is in my "groin area" it spans my hip bones and dips into my nether regions. Did it hurt yes but the worst is always gonna be the outline and the area closed to my hip bones. It's worth it, because it's somethin that nobody but me sees and I love it.
