Question about BEOWULF movie?

just saw Beowulf over the weekend and I'm totally confused. Both Beowulf and the former King (both of who are human) had sex with the demon queen. So why did the former King's son, Grendel, look all freaky and gross and act crazy, but Beowulf's son looked like a normal, attractive human man, aside from his golden skin?

Neither Beowulf's son nor Grendel's mother had sensitive ears like Grendel. When Beowulf's son was in dragon mode, he was angry, but totally sane.

Also, why did Angelina Jolie's character want to mate with Beowulf if she was so upset that he had killed Grendel?

Question about BEOWULF movie?
Why are you worrying what her sons look like??

Those are just variations so the movie doesnt look boring! xD

Cos this Beowulf movie is based on an old Anglo-Saxon poem and if m not mistaken the poem doesnt mention how either of Grendel's mother's sons look like..

And why did Grendel's mother want to mate with Beowulf?

If she just killed him what's so kool about that?

The sweetest revenge is to make him suffer. Beowulf fell for those beautiful promises and for the exchange of that, he got the curse..

I dont remember her exact words but as she said, "you took my son, you give me a son..". "give me a son and I shall make you the greatest king that ever lived.." then he did gave her a son, he got the wealth and kingdom, but he lived in misery and in the end he was killed by his own..'son'.. sweet revenge huh

but aside of that, even if Beowulf didnt kill Grendel, The Mother's gonna still make him suffer. It's like she wanna torture ALL of the Kings. I mean check out Wiglaf, he never did anything to her but at the end of the movie she was still going to seduce the new King..
Reply:i have no idea they just screwed up the whole movie...
Reply:I just saw it today. I can't compare the movie to the book because I've never read the book. But I have the same questions as you. But I would guess that Grendel looks that way because he keeps coming back and gets attacked by those village people. As for his sensitive ears, I don't know. Anyways, what's up with the ending of the movie? Are you supposed to take it however we want to? Does the new king (Beowulf's friend) sleep with the demon queen and history repeats itself?
