Bearded dragon + crickets?
I've seen black beetles before, but just threw them away. The white crickets are have just shed their skin, they are ok to feed to your Beardie. I think it's the male crickets that have wings, that's how they make their sound. Female crickets do not make this sound. I called it singing and fed the males to my dragon first because the sound would keep me awake.
Reply:I'm sure the bearded dragon will enjoy all the live food in the box. They are wild here in Australia and will eat anything small enough that they can catch. Have you tried mealworms? The beetle is probably a bran beetle, they are the adult form of mealworms.
Reply:the beetle will be fine for the bearded,

the white cricket it molting

and wings mean the crickets are adults...

everything is safe and fine!
Reply:those are all fine... if you bought these crickets from a pet store, they wouldnt supply you with anything your pet cant eat....
Reply:The beetle sounds like a larder beetle, also known as a bacon beetle. These beetles are very common and eat protein so are probably trying to feed on the crickets, you should remove any you find from the cricket box. It probably came from the pet shop but try going into your kitchen at night and switching the light on as they can often be found feeding on any scraps on the kitchen floor. I do not think you should feed it to your beardie as they have very tough shells and may be hard to digest. You may also encounter 'wooly bears' which are the larvae of larder beetles and look like little maggots with loads of legs, grrrrrrr shiver!
Reply:Also try super worms....if your lizzard is old enough. In the summer I like to catch my lizzards food. It gives her better nutrition. Her fav is grasshoppers.
