Weird Question, but... what is the basic body temperature of a chinese water dragon? In other words...?

when my water dragon sits on my skin, does my skin feel warm to him, or cold?

if he feels cold to you then you feel warm to him or vise verse. he also will absorb heat or give off heat to your arm or shoulder. he really has no choice his temp regulates to the environment if he feels like he needs to heat up he searches for a warmer environment and if he is hot he searches for a cooler area. that is why having a hot and cool area of a cage is important.
Reply:Since he is a reptile and coldblooded, it depends entirely on your body temperature AND the temperature of his enclosure.

Usually you will seem warmer to him than he will to you, unless your hands are cold.

All reptiles are only as warm as their surroundings, they have no way to regulate their body temperature aside from their heat lamps/rocks/pads, etc.
Reply:Your skin feels warm to him for the most part.
Reply:all of these are right just one has more details.

now it depends on the air temp on how he feels. I've know one that liked a laptop computer he'd sit right on the mouse pad on at a stationary one under the fan because it was worm to him. if he is in a warmer place then you body temp then they will be could to him but other wise your hand will be worm. if he appears to like it then there you go.
