Why did the Army ban Dragon Skin body armor for it's troops?

They explained that it failed their tests yet it was banned 2 mohts before the tests began. Does the army want soldiers to die so we have a reason to keep fighting over there?

Why did the Army ban Dragon Skin body armor for it's troops?
The Bush approved defense contractors don't have the rights to make it.

Easy enuff to explain.

That is why it was banned BEFORE testing.
Reply:most likely had to do with cost , its why most military advancements fail
Reply:would you use a drug if it had not been properly tested? i doubt it. hence the ban. no story other than maybe someone should do an independent test.
Reply:Whats wrong with it being banned before it was tested ?

Isn't that the point, you ban it, untill it has been tested and proved to work ?

And since it was tested and proved to NOT work,

Whats the big deal?

You did notice that no one from the company that makes dragon skin , came on camera and said anything about the military's test. They didn't argue about the militarys test.
Reply:Because there is no reason to pay for something that may not work. You test things before you buy things. As it turns out it failed testing so it didnt work.

If they had they spent money on something that didnt work you would be here pissed about throwing our money away on a crappy product.
Reply:dragon armor is extremely expensive and the government could not shell out the money for the armor for all the troops that we have. i wish that if soliders wanted to wear it instead of there 40lb iba issued bulletproof armor they would be alowed to purchase it there sleves but the government wont even do that because it would be seen as unfair to thoes that cannot afford the dragon armor and also the goverment sees it as all soliders should have the same chances not some better than most.
