Why dont we use independant testing labs to test body armor for our soldiers??

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070521/ap_o...

In this news story, the Pentagon today released their study of Dragon Skin body armor, claiming that the manufacturer of the product lied in its testing, and that the Army's own Interceptor Armor is better than the aftermarket stuff people are buying to send to their boys in combat...

Considering that this country is capitalistic and we have consumer watchdog groups such as Consumer Affairs or even private companies such as Popular Mechanics and Consumer Reports....why dont we have them do independant testing of body armor so we can really find out who is lying to the American people???

Why dont we use independant testing labs to test body armor for our soldiers??
We do.

In this case the independent lab is called Nantucket Army Laboratories.

And it should be obvious that the news media did not tell you the whole story. They went for a hatchet job on the military and got caught.

And this is the same level of accuracy as the news media is giving you in their war coverage.
Reply:I sat in a brigade headquarters in Iraq and saw just how accurate the stories that CNN and MSNBC are telling you.

The Army cares about the soldiers lives. The media does not. Report It

Reply:Probably because someone that makes those decisions does not like independent answers.
Reply:before or after it fails??
