Komodo Dragons skin infectious?

I have heard from people that the Komodo Dragon's skin is deadly. I know that the saliva is deadly, but they said that the skin is also dangerous... Can anyone provide me with a source to confirm or deny this? first one that can prove or disprove this gets the points. Thanks all

Komodo Dragons skin infectious?
They have virulent bacteria in their mouths which means that if their prey survives the first bite and will die soon after. Their skin is not deadly. I love the komodo dragons and would love to go to the Komodo Island and surrounding neighbouring Indonesian Islands to see one in the wild. A truelly magnificent lizard. They can grow up to 10 feet and weigh over 200 lbs (91kg). They can eat pigs, deer and even bring down waterbuffalo. Here is a great fact sheet - http://www.komododragon.biz/KomodoDragon... for you. Within the Komodo's saliva reside more than fifty strains of bacteria, some seven of which are highly septic and four of which have no known specific antidote. Addressed early, attacks on humans have not proven fatal when treated with broad based and powerful antibiotics. However for animals in the wild, the bite usually proves fatal as a result of infection, even if the wound itself is insufficient. Below are more sources I have for you.
Reply:I would think that the skin would only be deadly if it had the saliva on it.

I think whoever told you that komodo dragon skin is deadly was seriously misinformed. Perhaps someone told them "spit", and they misheard the person, and heard "skin"?
Reply:the skin is not dangerous

Theres info from a zoo... If it was dangerous it'd say so somewhere on the page when they're trying to educate the public

This website just says the skin is scaley and molts in irregular patterns, and again it would say if it was poisonous
