Is that a good idea to peel shedding skin off my bearded dragon?

i recently peeled some skin off my baby bearded dragons tail, and he kinda got mad and sort of puffed his neck at me, im wondering if it hurts them when i do that

Is that a good idea to peel shedding skin off my bearded dragon?
It is best to let is come off by itself. Peeling it off before it is entirely ready may indeed hurt him and also leave scarring. Peeling the off skin around the toe area may even take toes off of tiny lizards. Resist the urge to peel.
Reply:dont peel of the skin i used to have one they just do it by them selves and clean the cage after it peels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:soak him in luke warm water

this will help in the shedding process

i would not peel off any skin unless it was hanging off and was entirely dead and not attatched. You could potentially peel of skin that has not died yet.

becareful skin doesnt stay on too long because that can cause circulatory problems. like i said before the best thing to do is soak it
Reply:Some pieces of skin that appear loose really aren't. You shouldn't peel the skin off of him. Yes it can hurt them. ^^;

If you put him in the bathtub with warm water, the skin becomes looser, and it's easier for them to peel off on their own.

Good luck.
Reply:No, you can damage the new scales below. Let it come off naturally. Regular bathing/soaking will help with shedding.
